8/27 My neat little 451

Finally, my life in Witte got started!

My house fellow, Asa just came to check upon my room. Everything seems fine!

It's my first time to live in dorm, so I've been really excited.
I was scheduled to move in on Aug 25th, but my flight delayed so I had to move in today.
Though the excitement kept me up last night, I still woke up early today.
I got the final packing done and it was time to leave.
I hugged Ping for all everything she had done :)
You helped me so much!
I'll miss u and all others in Casa Blanca.

Thank Mike, Laurence, Jack and Alpha for helping me moving all my stuff !!!!!!!
The moving wouldn't have been done so quickly without you guys!

Since it's the move-in day, lots of cars were parked around the building.
Everyone was carrying stuff, and there were all kinds of things.
Unlike local students who have parents driving them here,  my stuff is limited due to the regulation of flight luggage.
I checked a cart out like everyone else to carry my luggages. It did help a lot!

I live in a double room. It include two single beds, two desks, two cupboards and two closets.
We were allowed to move the furnitures as we like, So I rearranged them to make it easier for my rommate and I to connect to Internet.

Met Kim next door, sweet girl she is. : )
We talked a lot after I had my things in place.

I also met few other girls in our corridor.

Then it came the hard part, that is, I had to put my things in place.
After few hours, the mess was cleared, and I'm now sitting here writing blog :)

The bed sheet was bought just yesterday, and I had it washed this evening :D

I'll meeting my roomie Dana tomorrow morning!
(I guess I better go to sleep by now)

是的，我終於搬進我自己的宿舍，可以安頓下來了。

本來8/25就可以搬進來，結果被紐約糟糕的天氣耽誤了入住的時間。
所以又回去投靠Ping，天啊，台灣同學會的大家真好！！　（淚）
昨晚有點失眠，不過早上還是一早爬起來做最後的收拾。
十點半離開Ping家的時候真有點捨不得，跟Ping擁抱了一下，我會記得大家的：Ｄ
該走就要走，就算再依戀溫馨的感覺也一樣，再不走兩邊都會失去更多。

昨天臨時拜託了TUSO(大學部台灣同學會) 的同學來幫忙搬家，Laurence、Jack還有意外出現的Alpha合力把我的兩個大託運行李箱和手提行李還有來Madison之後買了一些哩哩叩叩的日用品一起搬進宿舍。真是太感謝啦！！

看著其他在地學生有家人開著車把家當都扛來，也是一番趣味。
穿衣鏡、電視螢幕(宿舍提供免費的有線電視)、微波爐、咖啡機、電風扇、沙發、床單、枕頭......， 不像我只能帶一些衣服跟書還有保養品，前一天還得去Walmart將日用品採買一番。
宿舍提供大拖車給學生們裝大大小小的家私，於是一群人就在電梯前推著托車大排長龍。
學校的宿舍志工Badger Buddies是搬家日中很重要的角色，他們有人負責指引方向，有人負責按電梯樓層，辛苦他們一整天了。

我住的雙人房配有兩張床、兩張書桌、兩個櫃子還有兩個衣櫥。
所有的擺設都可以自己移動成想要的樣子，很多人會把床用櫃子架高，這樣就有更多空間，聽說還可以塞進一張沙發（早知道是這樣，那時候就在Casa外面撿張沙發）
書桌沒有檯燈，所以昨天在Walmart買了一盞藍色的LED檯燈。書桌上有一張版子，可以貼紙條或照片在上面，很有美式風格。
宿網果然要接網路線，還好那時候有先問過，才有從台灣帶了網路線過來，不過看起來是不夠長，變成公車的下車鈴了。

我隔壁的可愛鄰居Kim說她完全不曉得需要網路線，只好到學校才買。（在這裡買網路線真是恐怖貴，$27.00，如果我沒記錯的話）

說到Kim，是住我對面房間的大一女孩，是美籍越南裔。她說她沒離開過美國，也沒到過越南，不會講越南話，聽得懂一些，但親戚們總覺得她和他的兄弟姊妹不會講越南話真糟糕。我說這跟我爸的家人每次聊到我跟我弟不會講客家話就會碎念一下是一樣的道理。然後我們兩個大笑。真是個可愛的女孩。

把東西搬進房間之後就是頭痛的物歸原處時間，得把行李箱裡的東西全掏出來再找地方擺進去。

整理了幾個小時總算是有點樣子，那就讓大家看看我可愛的451吧。
